How I Celebrate My Thanksgiving Differently...

I always found this holiday to be somewhat strange in terms of why we celebrate Thanksgiving. If, perhaps, there was a great meal with the Indians and there was everlasting peace afterwords, that would be a different story. But that's exactly it. It can be a different story. If there's one thing that I've learned, we can always remake anything into the ways we like it to be.
For me, Thanksgiving is all about the appreciation of everyone in my life. I spend some careful moments thinking about all the people that have brought my life meaning and send them a quiet moment of gratitude. The rest is fluff to me. I simply removed the parts that didn't agree with me and exchanged it for something authentic. We can do this with almost anything we do and learn... including flow arts. Always keep in mind that there are always more ways to do it, and your path may be one that is uniquely your own. Sending thanks to all my friends and family out there. Enjoy the holiday!
