ABOUT KEN HILL

Ken is widely considered an innovator and specialist in the art of fire nunchaku. He has taught at many fire festivals in the US and beyond (including a week long Costa Rica nunchaku retreat - get ready for another in 2014), included in a DVD compilation of inspirational fire spinners around the world(Circles of Light 2010, 2011 and 2012), and has performed fire nunchaku front stage of music festivals such as Wakarusa, Envision and Wanderlust. He travels with Quixotic (an ensemble of artists that brings together acrobatics, dance, theater, film, music and visual effects).
Much like how Kung Fu is a subdivision of martial arts, this style is a subdivision of nunchaku spinning that emphasizes rhythmic staccato bounces, creative visual patterns, fluidity, creativity, footwork and of course, fire dancing. Techniques have been integrated from years of self study, martial arts and other prop techniques: mostly staff, poi and double staff. This style has been innovated, analyzed and refined into a system that stands strong and showcases the nunchaku as a versatile prop.
ABOUT GABRIEL FORD

Gabriel has been a martial arts weapons instructor for the past ten years and now continues to teach a branch of martial flow Nunchaku style now known as Nunchaku Flow. Which is the adaptation and translation of many of the flow arts toys and props (Poi, Double Staff, Hoop, etc...) into what the Nunchaku can do. For the past two years he has been on a non-stop journey being a workshop instructor for music and art festivals such as Hyperion, Maydaze, and the Werkout. As well as regional fire and flow festivals like Kinetic Fire and PlayThinkMove. He has been a solo performer for many shows and events scattered across the mid-west and has been loving every moment of it. It is with great respect and joy for Gabriel to share in the broader community of flow arts. And be an example of what the Nunchaku can offer for anyone willing to include them in their life.
